Metabolic genes & TRAIL resistance in glioblastoma

MSc research at Bezmialem Vakif University’s Cingoz Lab, combining pooled CRISPR/Cas9 screen analysis with transcriptomic and metabolomic data.

Institution
Bezmialem Vakif University · Cingoz Lab
Period
Sept 2024 to June 2026
Role
Project Assistant / Graduate Researcher
Methods
Pooled CRISPR/Cas9 screening · MAGeCK RRA · Pathway enrichment · Multi-omics integration
Topics
Glioblastoma · CRISPR/Cas9 · Cancer metabolism · TRAIL resistance

Methods & approaches

My graduate work combined pooled CRISPR/Cas9 screen analysis with MAGeCK RRA, pathway enrichment, and integration of transcriptomic, metabolomic, and TCGA-GBM data.

Screen-derived candidates require experimental validation before they can support conclusions about biological mechanisms.
